Chris Rodgers-Wilson

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I moved to London at 17 to train at the Royal Ballet School. Over the next 18 years, I had the privilege of performing internationally, retiring as a Senior Artist with the Australian Ballet.

My path into psychology and coaching began whilst still dancing. A huge part of the job was sustaining high performance - how we manage pressure, recover from setbacks, and continue our personal and professional growth. As it so often does, life intervened — periods of self doubt, injury, surgery, and rehabilitation, and most painfully, dancing through bereavement — all pushed my limits of what I thought I could handle.

Through it all, what carried me was connection. The specialists across dance, physiotherapy, sports medicine and psychology who showed me the transformative power of targeted support. The bonds with my fellow dancers — the trust, rapport and shared striving that enriched every aspect of my career. We’re not wired to exist in isolation, and my belief in the power of connection now informs how I partner with people to help them move toward what matters to them.

I’m hugely motivated by working with people to navigate the tension between finding your edges and staying healthy in the process. I aim to create a space for real conversations, where we work in a flexible and responsive way to what a person comes in with. We are human and imperfect — the process can be messy and challenging, but it can be equally surprising, energising, and joyful. We all have the capacity to create new possibilities — sometimes we just need the right support and conditions to find them.
